The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, has received a delegation from the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) on a courtesy visit at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, reaffirming the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to strengthened collaboration with stakeholders.
The delegation, led by the National Chairman of the PCRC, Alhaji Mogaji Ibraheem Olaniyan, included members of the National Executive Committee and representatives from various regional commands. The PCRC leadership congratulated the IGP on his appointment and pledged continued loyalty and support to the Nigeria Police Force, while commending his recognition of the Committee’s role in enhancing community-based policing.
Responding, IGP Disu appreciated the PCRC for its sustained support and assured the delegation of the Force’s full cooperation. He urged the leadership to ensure proper oversight of members and emphasized that PCRC identification should be used strictly for legitimate purposes, particularly intelligence gathering and community engagement.
The Inspector-General also charged members to remain exemplary citizens in order to preserve the integrity of the partnership, noting that effective policing thrives on mutual trust and collaboration with the public.
The visit further underscores the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to fostering strong police-community relations and advancing collaborative security efforts nationwide.
