Hon. Kabiru Onimisi Atta, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency in Kogi State, has paid a high-level courtesy visit to former Vice President and ADC presidential candidate, His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as part of efforts to strengthen party unity and advance his legislative ambition.
During the visit, Hon. Atta congratulated Atiku Abubakar on his emergence as the presidential flagbearer of the party, describing it as a defining moment for the ADC and a renewed opportunity to reposition Nigeria for growth and stability.
The meeting provided a platform for strategic discussions, with Atiku Abubakar sharing his vision for a new Nigeria anchored on the energy, innovation, and competence of young people. He emphasized the critical role of youth participation in governance and national development, urging emerging leaders to step forward with purpose and integrity.
In a moment of light-hearted reflection, the former Vice President humorously noted how much taller Atta had grown since their last meeting in January 2016, underscoring a long-standing relationship between both leaders.
Atiku also charged Hon. Atta to uphold the distinguished legacy of the Atta family while leveraging his candidacy to mobilize young Nigerians into the ADC. He encouraged him to actively engage youths in the political process and empower them to take ownership of the country’s future.
Hon. Atta, in response, reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive representation, youth empowerment, and grassroots development. He pledged to run a campaign that resonates with the aspirations of the people of Adavi/Okehi and aligns with the broader vision of the ADC.
The visit marks a significant step in Atta’s political journey, signaling a campaign focused on unity, generational inclusion, and transformative leadership.
