Hon. Jibril Abu Secures Major Projects for Ajaokuta Constituency in 2025 Budget

The member representing Ajaokuta State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Jibril Onoru-Oiza Abu, popularly known as “WisdomBank,” has been proactively committed to the development of his constituency. Through strategic lobbying and collaboration, he has successfully influenced the inclusion of key projects in the 2025 state budget.

Under the Ministry of Works’ capital expenditure for 2025, Hon. Jibril Abu ensured the inclusion of major road construction and rehabilitation projects including:

– Construction of Ebiya, Patesi, Adogo, and Unosi roads totalling approximately 35 kilometres.

– Construction of Lions Club to Geregu roads, 4.974 kilometers.

– Construction of Obabara road, 37 kilometers long.

– Construction of bypass road to Nyamanyama and Jostan Plaza at Ajaokuta up to 7 kilometers.

– Rehabilitate and construct other selected roads in the Ajaokuta Local Government Headquarters.

At the Ministry of Water Resources, Hon. Jibril Abu ensured that critical water projects to solve water supply problems in Ajaokuta were put in place, including:

– Continuation and completion of the Adogo ByWater Project.

 – Provision of boreholes and repairs of the existing ones in selected areas.

– Extension of the Central Water Scheme Project to Ajaokuta.

 – Training and retraining of community Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Committees (WASHCOMs) and Village Hygiene Promotion Specialists (VHPS) for sustainable water supply and hygiene promotion.

– Rehabilitation and reticulation of the Adogo Water Scheme.

Support from the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA) on the drilling of boreholes under the released funds.

Hon. Jibril Abu’s efforts are a testimony to his commitment to the enhancement of infrastructure and basic amenities in Ajaokuta Constituency. His pro-activeness shows he is dedicated to ensuring that his constituency enjoys the dividends of democracy. The people in Ajaokuta Constituency are grateful and praying for the successful completion of these projects, as this is going to develop the area in no small way.
