The Federal University Lokoja (FUL) has announced the commencement of its Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session, with the online portal set to open on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

In an official statement released by the university, all candidates who applied through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), including both Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) applicants, are invited to participate in the screening process.

Eligibility Criteria

According to the university, only candidates who selected FUL as their first-choice institution are eligible to apply. UTME candidates must have scored a minimum of 160 in the 2026 examination, while Direct Entry applicants must have completed their application through JAMB.

Additionally, all candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, to qualify for admission consideration.

Screening Guidelines

Applicants are required to upload their O’level results on the JAMB portal before proceeding to the university’s screening portal. Candidates awaiting results may begin registration but will not be eligible for screening until their results are uploaded.

The university emphasized that submission of falsified results will lead to automatic disqualification and withdrawal of admission at any stage of discovery.

Candidates are advised to use personal email addresses during registration to avoid unauthorized access to their admission profiles.

For complete admission requirements and course-specific details, applicants are encouraged to visit the university’s official portal: fulokoja.edu.ng.

To begin the process, applicants are to visit the university’s official website, navigate to the Post-UTME portal, and log in using their 2026 JAMB registration number.

Registration Process

The screening exercise involves three key stages:

  • Biodata Update: Candidates are to fill in personal details, while DE applicants must provide previous academic records.
  • Payment: A non-refundable screening fee of N2,000 is payable via Remita, with options for online or bank payment using a generated RRR invoice.
  • Screening Submission: Applicants must select their preferred course, input relevant O’level subjects, and upload examination details for verification. Successful submissions will generate screening results instantly.

Admission Requirements

FUL reiterated that only candidates who complete the screening exercise will be considered for admission. Applicants must possess at least five relevant O’level credit passes in not more than two sittings.

However, competitive programmes such as Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Law, and Pharmaceutical Science require all five credits in a single sitting.

A credit pass in English Language remains compulsory for all courses.

Important Notice

The university stressed that participation in the screening exercise does not guarantee admission, as final selection will be determined by the institution’s Central Admissions Committee based on additional criteria.

Candidates are also warned that any form of misinformation or omission during the application process will result in disqualification without refund of fees.

The Post-UTME screening portal will close at midnight on Sunday, September 13, 2026.

Applicants are strongly advised to adhere strictly to the guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful application process.
