In a move poised to reshape the media landscape in Edo State, Governor Monday Okpebholo has named internationally acclaimed journalist and media strategist Sulaiman Aledeh as the new Managing Director of Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS). The appointment, effective immediately, marks a significant homecoming for Aledeh, who began his illustrious media career at EBS.
With over two decades of experience in broadcast journalism, Aledeh has carved a global reputation, contributing to leading international platforms like Al Jazeera, SABC, and GB News UK. Currently anchoring programs on Arise News and Classic FM, his expertise and professionalism have made him a respected voice in the industry.
Aledeh’s journey into journalism began during his undergraduate years at the University of Benin, where he earned a degree in Philosophy in 1999. His early stint at EBS laid the groundwork for his subsequent rise. During his National Youth Service, he refined his broadcasting skills further at Ebonyi Radio, setting the stage for a distinguished career.
Governor Okpebholo’s appointment of Aledeh is seen as a strategic step toward revitalizing the state’s media institutions.
