In a major political shake-up, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has officially dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC), effectively shifting the state’s political alignment.
The announcement was made by Senator James Manager during a high-profile press briefing at the Government House, attended by former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Guor, along with other key PDP figures.
Manager revealed that a formal public declaration will take place on Monday, adding that the move is in the interest of Delta State’s development and progress.
“With this realignment, the entire PDP structure in Delta has now collapsed into the APC,” he stated.
This defection marks a historic shift, officially transforming Delta into an APC-controlled state.
