The Business Women of Influence for Renewed Hope Agenda (BWI-RHA), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter, has appointed its executive committee and commenced the formation of structures across the six area councils of the FCT as part of efforts to strengthen the organisation ahead of its official launch.

The decisions were reached at the chapter’s inaugural meeting held in Abuja on Saturday, July 4, 2026, where members from different wards gathered to familiarise themselves with one another and lay the foundation for the effective running of the association.

Speaking at the meeting, the National Director of Media and Communication Committee, Hon. Evelyn Onyilo, commended members for their impressive turnout and commitment to the vision of the organisation.

She said BWI-RHA was established to empower women in business and other productive ventures, adding that while the group is committed to supporting the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election, its broader mission is to promote women’s empowerment and humanitarian development.

According to her, the vision of the organisation’s Founder and Director-General, Dr. Ngozi Oyewole, extends beyond politics and is focused on creating opportunities that will enable Nigerian women to prosper.

Also addressing the gathering, the FCT State Coordinator, Hon. Talatu Mohammed Kabir, welcomed members and pledged to build a strong and active chapter across all six area councils of the FCT.

She assured members that the chapter would operate an inclusive structure that would encourage participation from women at the grassroots, while the congress ratified the appointment of officials into various leadership positions.

The meeting featured the presentation of the FCT executive committee led by Hon. Talatu Mohammed Kabir as State Coordinator. Other officers include Ezinne Lolo Ngozi Chukwu as Deputy Coordinator, Mrs. Tina Ihejieto as Secretary, Mrs. Ozoezi Henrietta Chimezie as Assistant Secretary, Binta Kawu as Director of Membership Mobilisation, Rakiya Ibrahim as Director of Grassroots Mobilisation, Happiness Bassey as Director of Women Empowerment and Entrepreneurship, Mrs. Queen Kunde as Public Relations Officer, Helen Zamani as Director of Political Affairs and Stakeholders Engagement, Fatima Yakubu as Director of Finance, Hon. Mary T. Musa as Treasurer, Nnenna Emedolibe as Director of Welfare, Monica Danladi as Director of Protocol and Events, Bola Koforola as Auditor, and Nkemjika Nwachukwu as Youth Leader.

The State Coordinator also began the process of constituting leadership structures in the six FCT area councils, with representatives from all the councils participating in the exercise.

The meeting was adjourned to July 18, 2026, when members are expected to deliberate on plans for the formal launch of the BWI-RHA FCT Chapter.
