Esteemed partners, members of the press, and advocates of national progress, It is with profound honour, great pride, and a renewed sense of mission that I welcome you to this historic unveiling of the maiden edition of Safe Wheel Nigeria Magazine; the national flagship publication of the Federal Road Safety Corps. Today, we launch far more than a magazine; we set in motion a national movement for safer roads, enlightened motorists, and a transport system that truly supports our country’s development aspirations.
This achievement stands on the solid foundation of visionary leadership, dedication, and unwavering support. I therefore begin by expressing deep appreciation to the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, mni, whose strategic guidance, encouragement, and unrelenting commitment to public education and national safety made this publication a reality. We equally acknowledge the entire Management of the Corps, whose collective wisdom, professionalism, and support have driven this initiative from concept to accomplishment. Their leadership continues to inspire all of us to push boundaries and elevate the road safety narrative across Nigeria.
We also extend our gratitude to our invaluable partners whose collaboration has strengthened this vision: the National Communications Commission (NCC), NASENI, the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas (Pi-CNG), the National Agency for the Great Green Wall, UBEC, Galaxy Backbone Plc, NEPZA, the Nigeria Customs Service, NESREA, and several other government agencies that have championed the cause of safe motoring. We are deeply honoured as well by the esteemed leadership of the Honourable Chairman of this event, representatives of Departments, Ministries and Parastatals as well as Security Agencies, whose support and presence underscore the national relevance of today’s unveiling.
Safe Wheel Nigeria Magazine is driven by a compelling mandate: to educate, inspire, and empower Nigerians toward responsible driving and safer road use. Through incisive features, expert analyses, investigative reports, and human-centred stories, the magazine will illuminate the FRSC’s initiatives, highlight innovation, document community impact, and provide practical guidance for road users across the nation.
