Transcorp Hilton Abuja has reaffirmed its position as Nigeria’s leading destination for conferences, corporate events, and leisure hospitality, while also expressing strong support for credible journalism and democratic accountability.

The General Manager of the hotel, Martin Zarybnicky, made this known during the 2027 Press Week Lecture and Awards Ceremony organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists FCT Council in Abuja.

Represented at the event by the hotel’s Communications and Marketing Manager, Ijeoma Cassandra Osuji, the General Manager said the hotel has consistently maintained world-class standards in hospitality, making it the preferred venue for major conferences, meetings, high-profile events, and leisure stays across Nigeria.

He noted that the hotel’s operations are driven by Hilton’s core values of hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and urgency, which continue to shape exceptional guest experiences and service delivery.

According to him, guest satisfaction remains a top priority for the organisation as it continues to strengthen its reputation within Nigeria’s hospitality industry.

Zarybnicky also congratulated the NUJ FCT Council on the successful organisation of the Press Week, describing the theme, “Election: Defending Democracy in the Era of Disinformation,” as timely and significant in today’s information-driven society.

He stressed the important role of the media in protecting democratic values, promoting accountability, and ensuring the dissemination of accurate information amid the growing challenge of misinformation and digital disinformation.

He further commended the NUJ for creating a platform that encourages professionalism, ethical journalism, and excellence in the media profession.

The hotel management also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that encourage constructive national dialogue and stronger collaboration with the media industry.

“As you celebrate outstanding professionals and examine the changing media landscape, we are proud to be part of this important gathering and wish you a successful and impactful Press Week,” he said.
