The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) celebrated its 70th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s history. Comrade Grace Ike, Chairman of NUJ FCT, extended heartfelt congratulations to past and present Presidents of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) who were honored with a distinguished award for their outstanding contributions to promoting women in journalism.
The awardees, including Dr. Brenda Akpan, Mrs. Hannatu, Chief Moji Makanjuola, Pst Kande Daniel, Rtn. Evelyn Onyilo, Hon Toro Oladapo, Hajia Fatima Abdulkareem, Hon Asabe Baba Nahaya, Yeye Ifeyinwa Omowole, Chief Ladi Bala, Hajia Aisha Ibrahim Bura, were recognized for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to elevating women’s participation in the media. Their efforts have inspired countless females to pursue excellence in journalism and have championed gender equality, empowering women journalists and fostering a more inclusive media landscape.
