Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command, AIG Olohundare Jimoh, has declared that no amount of pressure, intimidation or influence will deter the Nigeria Police Force from enforcing the law, reaffirming the Force’s commitment to justice, professionalism and the rule of law.

Jimoh made the declaration after receiving the prestigious Most Outstanding Anti-Crime Police Chief in West and Central Africa award in recognition of his exemplary leadership and outstanding contributions to crime prevention and public safety.

Addressing journalists shortly after the presentation, the senior police officer said the honour would further inspire him and his team to remain focused on delivering effective, intelligence-driven policing aimed at safeguarding lives and property.

“There is no amount of pressure that will stop the police from enforcing the law. Every Nigerian, irrespective of status or influence, is equal before the law, and we will continue to discharge our constitutional responsibilities without fear or favour,” he said.

The AIG dedicated the continental recognition to officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, describing the award as a tribute to their resilience, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to protecting the nation against criminality.

He commended the Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, for providing purposeful leadership and strategic direction that have strengthened policing across the country, noting that the achievements recorded by the Zone 2 Command were made possible through teamwork, intelligence-led operations and effective collaboration with other security agencies and members of the public.

Jimoh assured residents of Lagos and Ogun states that the Zone 2 Command would continue to intensify efforts against violent crime, kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism and other criminal activities, while sustaining community policing initiatives designed to enhance public confidence and strengthen partnerships with citizens.

Security stakeholders described the continental honour as a fitting recognition of AIG Jimoh’s dedication to professionalism, operational excellence and unwavering commitment to justice. They noted that his leadership has continued to inspire confidence in the Nigeria Police Force and reinforce its resolve to uphold the law without compromise.

The award adds to the growing recognition of AIG Jimoh as one of Nigeria’s outstanding police leaders whose steadfast commitment to integrity, discipline and effective law enforcement continues to earn admiration both within the country and across the African continent.
