INDEPENDENCE MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRPERSON, NAWOJ FCT BASSEY ITA IKPANG

By Stella Okoh-Esene

As we mark yet another Independence Day, NAWOJ FCT joins millions of Nigerians to celebrate our beloved country. This day reminds us of the courage, resilience, and sacrifices that laid the foundation of our freedom. It is also a call to renew our collective commitment to building a stronger and more united nation.

To the women, children, and especially NAWOJians in the FCT, I salute your strength, dedication, and unwavering spirit. As female journalists, we carry the responsibility of amplifying voices, shaping narratives, and holding leaders accountable for a Nigeria where equity, justice, and opportunities are not just ideals but realities.

On this 65th Independence anniversary, let us continue to uphold the values of patriotism, peace, and progress. Together, we can nurture a Nigeria where every woman and child thrives, and where journalism remains a beacon of truth. Long live NAWOJ FCT, long live NAWOJians, and long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
