The Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) has underscored its commitment to staff welfare with the official commissioning of a newly established staff sick bay at the Commission’s headquarters.
The commissioning ceremony was presided over by the Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Mustapha Abdullahi. The event was attended by a representative from the Federal Ministry of Health, the ECN management team, and staff and personnel of the Commission.
In a poignant tribute, the new facility was named the Ibrahim Idako Sick Bay, in honour of the late ECN colleague who passed away only a few months ago.
”This is our way of preserving his memory while honouring his service and dedication to the Commission,” he stated.
The Director General highlighted the strategic importance of the facility. “The establishment of this sick bay is not just a facility, but a statement of our commitment to the welfare and well-being of every member of staff,” he said. “A healthy workforce is the foundation of productivity, and we will continue to create an enabling and supportive environment for all.”
The new sick bay is expected to provide essential, immediate medical care to ECN personnel, reinforcing the Commission’s focus on fostering a healthy and productive working environment.
