Oil magnate, Prince Engr. Dr. Arthur Eze, has showered glowing praises on Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, describing him as an icon, banner carrier and flag bearer of modern Ndigbo.
Eze, who was Chairman of the Occasion at the 3rd Dr. Michael Iheonukara Okpara Lecture held at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, was represented by Prince Dr. Emeka Eze.
In a powerful tribute, the oil mogul likened Governor Otti to the late Dr. Michael Iheonukara Okpara, the revered former Premier of Eastern Nigeria, whose legacy of leadership and development remains a reference point in Igbo history.
According to him, Otti stands out as the only leader with a resemblance to the legendary statesman being celebrated.
“He is the only leader with the semblance of Late Dr. M. I. Okpara, the man we are celebrating today,” he declared.
The glowing commendation places Governor Otti in the spotlight as a contemporary Igbo leader whose leadership has drawn comparisons with one of the region’s most celebrated political figures.
For Otti’s admirers, the recognition reinforces his growing reputation in conversations about leadership, development and the future of the South-East.
With such strong words of praise from Prince Arthur Eze, Governor Otti’s leadership has once again become a subject of discussion at a gathering dedicated to celebrating the enduring legacy of Dr. M. I. Okpara.
