The Accountant-General of Kogi State, Chief (Dr.) Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko has concluded her comprehensive thank-you tour across Ajaokuta Local Government Area, visiting all three districts to appreciate the people for their overwhelming support during the last gubernatorial election that brought Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to power.
Throughout the tour, she paid tribute to former Governor Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, commending his visionary leadership and the pivotal role he played in the emergence of Governor Ododo. She urged citizens to continue praying for both the former and current governors, emphasizing that leadership is a divine responsibility that requires collective intercession.
Beyond appreciation, the tour served as a platform for meaningful engagement with constituents at the grassroots. The Accountant-General listened attentively to complaints, challenges, and suggestions from community members. She stressed that successful governance relies on unity, prayers, and the active support of the people.
She also acknowledged the commitment of party stakeholders and urged them to remain loyal and united in supporting the current administration. “If it hasn’t reached you yet but has reached someone else, thank God. Your own is coming. Ododo is watching,” she encouraged.
Her visits were marked by displays of empathy and generosity, including interventions in medical bills, cash assistance, and distribution of clothing materials across the districts.
In response, the Member Representing Ajaokuta State Constituency, Hon. Jibril Abu, praised the Accountant-General for her humility and people-focused leadership. “She came, she saw, and she conquered hearts,” he said, describing her as a woman with the strength of three men and a deep connection to the people. He prayed for her continued strength and grace in her service to the state.
