Residents of Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency have expressed overwhelming support for their representative in the National Assembly, Obinna Aguocha, praising his performance and pledging to return him to office in the 2027 general elections.

The first-term lawmaker has continued to win the admiration of many constituents who describe his leadership as people-centered and compassionate. Community members say his commitment to grassroots development, welfare programs, and direct engagement with ordinary citizens has set him apart from past representatives.

During interviews conducted in parts of the constituency, several villagers spoke glowingly about the lawmaker’s impact. One resident described him as a humble leader who remains connected to the people despite his position in Abuja.

“Honourable Obinna Aguocha is the best thing that has happened to this constituency in a long time,” a villager said. “He is down-to-earth and genuinely cares about the welfare of his people. When 2027 comes, we will repay him for all his good deeds by voting for him again.”

Many residents point to Aguocha’s philanthropic activities as proof of his commitment to community development. According to locals, the lawmaker has supported widows, provided housing for the homeless, distributed food items, and facilitated access to healthcare for vulnerable families across the constituency.

A community leader noted that Aguocha’s background has also influenced his passion for public service. His father served as Commissioner for Health in the old Imo State, a legacy that many say instilled in him a strong sense of responsibility toward the people.

“Despite coming from a comfortable and respected family, he still sits with the poorest of the poor,” the leader said. “He listens to them, shares meals with them, and looks for ways to help.”

Women in the constituency have also openly declared their support for the lawmaker, describing him as a strong advocate for family welfare and community stability.

A women’s leader in Umuahia said Aguocha’s initiatives have had a direct impact on many households.

“We, the women of this constituency, stand firmly behind Hon. Obinna Aguocha,” she said. “He has supported widows, empowered families, and made sure struggling mothers are not forgotten. Leaders who care for the vulnerable deserve another chance to serve.”

In response to the growing support, Aguocha expressed gratitude to his constituents and reaffirmed his commitment to delivering more dividends of democracy.

“I am deeply humbled by the trust and encouragement from the people of Umuahia North and South,” Aguocha said. “My focus remains on serving our communities, improving lives, and ensuring that our constituency receives the development it deserves.”

With the 2027 elections still ahead, many constituents say their decision is already clear — a vote to return the lawmaker whose performance, they believe, has brought renewed hope and tangible benefits to the people.
