The Nation is Bleeding; We Need a Mother’s Heart and a Reformer’s Hand” – Youth Coalition
By Chioma James
The Network of Youth Groups in Nigeria (NYGN), a consolidated umbrella of over 50 youth-led organizations, civil society advocates, and student unions, hereby issues a clarion call to the distinguished humanist, preacher, and international advocate, Mrs. Angela Johnson, to formally enter the 2027 Presidential race.
A Nation in Dire Straits
Nigeria stands at a precarious crossroads. Despite the rhetoric of economic recovery, the Nigerian youth remain in a state of “unprecedented dire straits.” We are currently besieged by a quadruple threat that has stifled the potential of our generation:
Systemic Unemployment: Millions of graduates remain idle, with the “wait time” for meaningful employment reaching record highs.
Hyper-Inflation: With the inflation rate currently at 15.38%, the cost of living has become a silent killer of dreams, making basic survival a luxury for the average young Nigerian.
Chronic Insecurity: Our farms, schools, and highways remain vulnerable, robbing the youth of the safety required for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Political Exclusion: We are tired of being “observers” in the governance of our own country. The era of geriatric politics must give way to empathetic, cerebral, and humanist leadership.
Why Mrs. Angela Johnson?
The Network has carefully monitored the landscape and identified Mrs. Angela Johnson as the unique “Third Force” the nation requires. As a legal mind, a certified professional, and a proven humanist through her UK-based ministries and local charities, she possesses the *”Compassion-Competence Nexus” that the current political class lacks.
“Our men have had their time, and the results are clear: the structures are broken,” stated the National Coordinator of the Network. “Mrs. Angela Johnson is not just a politician; she is a healer of systems. Her record of selfless service to the vulnerable proves that she will put the Nigerian youth at the center of the budget, not at the periphery of politics.”
The Ultimate Demand
We are not asking; we are demanding. The youth of this nation are ready to mobilize, register, and defend their votes for a candidate who understands that Humanity must come before Partisanship.”We urge Mrs. Angela Johnson to heed this patriotic call. The Youth Party, the professional class, and the grassroots are waiting. Should she accept, we pledge our “Media Arsenal” and grassroots machinery to ensure her vision for a “New Nigeria” becomes a reality.
