The Kogi State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye, led a high-level delegation on a supervisory visit to Kogi State University (KSU) Kabba to assess the progress of ongoing construction projects.
The delegation, which included top management officials and technical experts, was warmly received by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. K.I.T. Eniola, and the Director of Physical Planning. The team inspected several key infrastructural projects, including:
Senate Building – AM’ Synergy Nigeria Limited
Male Hostel – SIL Energy
Female Hostel – Musalib Construction Limited
Faculty of Science – Ridge Prime Limited
Hon. Abanika commended the contractors for their progress but reiterated the state government’s zero tolerance for substandard projects. He emphasized Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s commitment to value-driven infrastructure development, ensuring that public funds are well spent.
He also praised the university’s proactive supervision, noting that their involvement has helped maintain high-quality standards. The Commissioner urged contractors to maintain transparency and keep the ministry updated at every phase of construction.
Contractors, including AM’ Synergy Nigeria Limited and SIL Energy, acknowledged the government’s strict oversight, stating that it has motivated them to uphold high construction standards. They reassured the Commissioner that all projects would meet top-quality specifications.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.I.T. Eniola expressed gratitude to the state government for prioritizing educational infrastructure. He pledged the university’s continued cooperation in ensuring that all projects adhere to quality and safety standards.
With the government’s firm commitment to quality assurance, KSU Kabba is set to witness modern, durable, and world-class facilities, further enhancing the institution’s academic environment.
