The Director-General and CEO of the Kogi State Social Investment Programme Agency (KOSSIPA), Hajiya Aisha Oyiza Omade, appeared before the Kogi State House of Assembly earlier today to defend the agency’s 2025 Budget Proposal. During the presentation, Hajiya Omade outlined a comprehensive mandate aimed at empowering poor, vulnerable, and underserved citizens throughout Kogi State. This roadmap, she noted, is strictly aligned with the inclusive and sustainable development agenda of the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Chief Servant of Kogi State.

The session was marked by strong support and constructive engagement from the Honourable Members of the House. Notably, the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Egwaba, reaffirmed her total commitment to the agency’s goals. In a move to bolster transparency and effective implementation, the Deputy Speaker pledged to personally join the agency on field monitoring visits across the state. This legislative oversight is intended to ensure that KOSSIPA’s programs reach their intended beneficiaries efficiently and accountably.

Adding to the momentum, Hon. Jibril Abu (Wisdom Bank), representing Ajaokuta Constituency, commended KOSSIPA’s dedication to grassroots empowerment. As a gesture of support for the agency’s field operations, Hon. Abu announced a personal donation of a motorcycle to facilitate the successful execution of the agency’s programs.

Hajiya Omade expressed her deep gratitude to the legislators for their shared commitment to improving the quality of life for all Kogi residents. She extended special appreciation to Hon. Zakaria Alhassan Otokiti, representing Okehi Constituency, and the entire leadership of the Assembly for their partnership. She emphasized that this unified vision between the Executive and the Legislature ensures that no citizen will be left behind in the state’s ongoing development policies.
