The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State following the tragic loss of the state’s Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ahmad Jalam, in a fatal road crash on Saturday, 1st June, 2024.
In his message of condolence, the Corps Marshal conveyed his deep sadness over the unfortunate incident and pledged to redouble efforts in the Safer Road campaign to prevent such tragedies in the future.
The FRSC Spokesman, Mr. Olusegun Ogungbemide, confirmed this in a statement.
“The unfortunate incident serves as a somber reminder of the pressing need for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to amplify our efforts in promoting safety on the nation’s highways, a commitment which the Corps remains steadfastly dedicated to,” he stated.
As prayers are offered for the peaceful repose of the departed soul, the Corps Marshal also urged Governor Mohammed and the people of Bauchi State to find strength in this difficult time.
“We pray for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness for the deceased’s shortcomings during his time on earth, and may he be granted Aljanah Firdaus,” the Corps Marshal added.
He reaffirmed the FRSC’s unwavering dedication to tackling the scourge of road traffic accidents, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with stakeholders at all levels to achieve this goal.
