Leaders and residents of Okehi Local Government Area in Kogi State have applauded Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his ongoing infrastructure projects and dedication to grassroots development, following his recent inspection tour of road construction works in the area.
Governor Ododo, accompanied by senior state officials, reiterated his administration’s commitment to inclusive growth and transparency during the visit, which was met with enthusiastic reception from local stakeholders.
Kogi State Auditor-General for Local Government, Honourable Siyaka Yakubu Adabenege, expressed satisfaction with the developmental strides under the Ododo administration, noting continuity from his predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
“We’re glad that the development plans initiated by our leader, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, have been consolidated. This administration stands on the pillars of transformation and transparency, with the people’s welfare at its core. It’s clear why Kogi citizens are pleased with Governor Ododo and his team,” Adabenege said.
Executive Chairman of Okehi Local Government, Hon. Amoka Eneji Odu, led a large crowd of supporters to welcome the Governor. He described the visit as a mark of responsive leadership and pledged local support for Governor Ododo’s re-election.
“This is more than a visit—it’s a validation of leadership that listens and delivers. Okehi people stand firmly with His Excellency for a second term,” Hon. Amoka declared.
Kogi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Deedat Ozigi Salami, echoed the commendations, emphasizing the expected social and economic benefits of the road projects to the local population.
Former House of Representatives member, Hon. A.K. Saliu, also praised the Governor’s inclusive governance and concern for the people’s welfare, stating, “We’ve never had it this good.
