The Together Towards Tomorrow (T³) Entrepreneurial Skill Training Program, sponsored by the Kogi State House of Assembly Member representing Ajaokuta, Hon. Jibril Abu continues to make a significant impact in empowering local residents through hands-on vocational training. A recent showcase at the Adogo training center highlighted the participants’ newly acquired skills, as they produced and exhibited various household and personal care products, including liquid soap, petroleum jelly, shampoo, body spray, perfume, hair cream, germicide, bleach, hair conditioner, and air freshener.
This initiative aligns with the broader developmental agenda of Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, who is committed to advancing skill acquisition and economic empowerment. The Ododo Youth Empowerment and Skills Acquisition Program has already trained over 200 youths in various vocational disciplines and equipped them with starter packs to launch their own businesses.
The Member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulraheem Egidi, has also made significant contributions to youth empowerment, particularly in ICT and related sectors. These concerted efforts reflect a strong commitment to tackling unemployment and fostering sustainable economic growth through entrepreneurship and practical skills training across Kogi State.
The program has partnered with the Kogi State Government initiative through KEDA for Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration, ensuring formal recognition and business legitimacy for participants. They will be organized into clusters of ten persons each for this purpose. This impactful model will be replicated across the remaining two training centers, expanding its reach and sustainability. Ajaokuta is proudly shifting the narrative from job seeking to job creation.
