Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd is partnering with the federal government to commence the rollout of locally-assembled compressed natural gas-powered vehicles in Nigeria. This followed the meeting between Innoson’s CEO, Innocent Chukwuma, and President Bola Tinubu on Thursday in Abuja.
According to Chukwuma, Innoson had been in the business of producing CNG vehicles for close to two years now, and this partnership will bring CNG-powered vehicles onto Nigerian roads very soon. “I was the first to start it in this country,” he boasted of the CNG initiative of the government as one sure way of revolutionizing life in the country. “That is why we acted in support of that vision by establishing our CNG vehicle factory,” he said.
Chukwuma equally emphasized his support for President Tinubu while asking Nigerians to be patient and hopeful for the better times ahead. “We shall see a greater Nigeria under Tinubu’s leadership. I call on everybody to allow him time, hoping that the best comes out from this country. He really has good intentions towards this nation,” Chukwuma said.
