The Ebira Youth Congress (EYC) has ushered in a new era of leadership with the election of Comrade Ahmed Saka Bachido as its President General. Bachido’s resounding victory follows a closely watched and peaceful electoral process that brought together youth from all corners of the Ebira community to shape the future of their organization.
A native of Ajaokuta Local Government Area, Comrade Ahmed Saka Bachido is a well-known figure in Kogi Central. He is a passionate youth advocate for good governance, a charismatic public speaker, and a popular master of ceremonies who has anchored numerous programs across the region. His inspiring personality and dedication to community development have earned him the admiration and trust of the Ebira people, especially the youth.
In his acceptance speech, Comrade Bachido thanked the EYC members for their overwhelming support and confidence in his leadership. He pledged to uphold the values and vision of the Congress, emphasizing his commitment to fostering unity, development, and progress for the Ebira people. “Our victory is a call to action,” Bachido stated. “Together, we will work towards empowering our youth, preserving our cultural heritage, and building a brighter future for Ebira land.”
Comrade Bachido’s manifesto, which resonated deeply with the youth, includes launching skill acquisition programs, entrepreneurship support, and job creation opportunities to equip young people for self-reliance, building of EYC Secretariat and launching of EYC TV and among others. He plans to advocate for scholarships, mentorship initiatives, and improved access to quality education for all Ebira youth. Additionally, he is committed to promoting and preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Ebira people through community events while championing community-driven projects to enhance living standards and drive economic growth. His agenda also emphasizes unity and inclusivity, encouraging harmony within the Congress and the wider Ebira community.
Leaders and members of the EYC have expressed confidence in Comrade Bachido’s ability to steer the Congress toward greater achievements. Many have praised the electoral process for being transparent and peaceful, highlighting the unity displayed during the elections as a testament to the organization’s strength.
Comrade Ahmed Saka Bachido has called on all members to support his administration in achieving the Congress’s collective goals. “This is a journey we must embark on together,” he declared.
