Hon. Jibril Abu Ignites Innovation at Gadumo with T³ Launch, Bags NAES KSP Leadership Award

– Students Endorse Abu for Second Term in Office

In a spirited show of leadership, empowerment, and community service, Hon. Jibril Abu, the member representing Ajaokuta Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, has officially flagged off the T³ (Together Towards Tomorrow) entrepreneurial skills training program at the Gadumo Centre.

The T³ initiative, founded on the pillars of Teach, Train, and Transform, is tailored to equip youths and young women across Ajaokuta with practical, income-generating skills in areas such as fashion design, agro-processing, digital literacy, and crafts. This bold intervention, Hon. Abu explained, is not just a political project but a personal commitment to building a more self-sufficient and resilient generation.

“We are not just creating programs; we are creating possibilities. The T³ initiative is a tool to unleash the hidden potential in our young people and to prepare them for the future — a future they can shape with their own hands,” said Hon. Abu, who is also the Mijindaddi Dabas of Girinya Kingdom. Little wonder why he earned the title “WisdomBank” for his foresight and people-first policies.

The event drew a targeted audience & youth advocates. But what stood out most was the rousing tribute paid by the National Association of Ebira Students (NAES), Kogi State Polytechnic chapter, who presented Hon. Abu with a prestigious Award of Supportive Leadership.

NAES KSP described Hon. Abu as self and the same as the Governor of Kogi State who is working broader in empowering and promoting Kogites. They are both “generational bridge” and “uncommon democrats” whose track record in education, youth empowerment, and grassroots development speaks for itself. According to Ohinoyi of NAES, Comr. Mohammad Mohammad Ohinoyi, the Ohinoyi NAES, KSP. “We are proud to say that Hon. Jibril Abu is not just representing us; he is redefining what it means to lead. On behalf of our students across Kogi State Polytechnic and beyond, “it is fit and apt to politely and formally endorse His Excellence Alh Usman Ododo and you for a second term in office. Your work must continue.”

This endorsement was met with thunderous applause and chants of solidarity from the students in attendance, signaling a strong youth support base for Mr Governor and Mr Lawmaker’s political future.

Beyond the glamour of the event, the T³ program has been structured for long-term impact. Beneficiaries are set to receive startup kits and mentorship, with monitoring mechanisms in place to ensure accountability and measurable outcomes.

A Legacy in Motion

Hon. Jibril Abu’s tenure has been marked by legislative activism, social interventions, and educational reforms, from providing scholarships to Healthcare support, Social Support and now, practical entrepreneurship training. The T³ flag-off adds to a growing portfolio of people-centric programs that have set Ajaokuta on a trajectory of sustainable development.

“All of God, none of me”.

“Leadership is not about tenure, it’s about impact. And I remain committed to serving my people with integrity and vision,” Hon. Abu concluded, as students lined up for photos, many already referring to him as the people’s champion.

Present with goodwills too were the Youth Leader of Gadumo, Onyi Ohinoyi NAES, Ohi of Ajaokuta KSP and more.

As the 2027 election season draws closer, Hon. Jibril Abu’s re-election bid seems to be gaining organic momentum, particularly among the youth and academic communities who have felt the pulse of his leadership firsthand.
